4 Getting Started
An overview of the operating menu and of the toolbar in the Main window of R&S WinIQ-
SIM2 is given in ​chapter 5, "Graphical User Interface", on page 26.
4.1 System Block Diagram
This section gives an overview of control elements, connectors, and signal configuration
in the Main window. It shows the block diagrams, i.e., the whole system including connected
devices at a glance. The graphical elements can be accessed for operation.
Required menus and graphs are displayed in the block diagram, which contains the
internal signal flow from baseband on the left position to the Signal Generator Blocks at
the right. Each element/connector is briefly described.
The signal flow between the Signal Generator Blocks and the employed inputs and outputs
are also represented.
The Winbar at the bottom of the block diagram gives an overview of open dialogs and
simplifies their access.
Labelled buttons represent open dialogs, the label indicates the dialogs. If several dialogs
are open, the button of the currently active dialog is displayed in a lighter color. Up to
