R&S ® WinIQSIM2
Graphical User Interface
Main Window - Signal Flow Diagram
Main difference between signal generation in real time and with the signal generation
software
Some of the hardware specific components of the instruments are not relevant for
R&S WinIQSIM2, because R&S WinIQSIM2 is not based on real time hardware. For this
reason, the following features are not supported:
●
●
●
Trigger
Clock
Marker delay
In the "Filter" settings dialog, the R&S WinIQSIM2 provides the following additional
parameters:
●
●
"Impulse length"
Displays the number of filter tabs. If the check box is activated, the most sensible
parameter values are selected. The value depends on the coherence check. If the
check box is deactivated, the values can be changed manually.
"Oversampling"
Determines the upsampling factor. If the check box is activated, the most sensible
parameter values are selected. The value depends on the coherence check. If the
check box is deactivated, the values can be changed manually.
When the digital standard is activated, a coherence check is performed. The entries are
checked.
The following parameters are part of the check:
●
●
●
●
"Sequence Length"
"Impulse Length"
"Oversampling"
instrument limits.
When the coherence check is positive, the waveform is generated and the internally used
parameter values are displayed in the gray fields.
5.9.2 Working with the AWGN Block
For a detailed description of the settings provided in the AWGN block, refer to chapter
5.11, "AWGN - Noise Generator", on page 121.
Adding AWGN to the Baseband Signal
