Remote Control Commands<br />

R&S Signal Generator Waveform and List Format<br />

The tag contains a string in ASCII format which supplies the clock rate mode, that was<br />

used for calculation of the multi segment output waveform.<br />

The tag CLOCK contains always the highest clock rate of all segments.<br />

The tag MWV_SEGMENT_CLOCK contains the clock rates of the individual segments.<br />

UNCHANGED<br />

The segments may have different clock rates.<br />

During the multi segment calculation, the clock rates of all individual<br />

original waveforms were taken over unchanged in the segments<br />

of the multi segment output waveform (no software resampling<br />

is done).<br />

If the segments have different clock rates, there are some restrictions<br />

on signal output, i.e. switching per external trigger and seamless<br />

switching between segments is not possible.<br />

If all segments have already an identical clock rate, this mode is<br />

usually set to HIGHEST.<br />

HIGHEST<br />

All segments have an indentical clock rate, which is the highest<br />

clock rate of all original waveforms.<br />

If an individual original waveform has a lower clock rate, an<br />

upsampling to the highest clock rate will performed on calculation<br />

of the multi segment output waveform.<br />

USER<br />

All segments have an indentical clock rate, which is given by the<br />

user.<br />

Note: Only upsampling is allowed, no downsampling!<br />

If an individual original waveform has a lower clock rate, an<br />

upsampling to the user clock rate will performed on calculation of<br />

the multi segment output waveform.<br />

Usage:<br />

Setting only<br />

{MWV_SEGMENT_CLOCK: ClockSeg0, ClockSeg1, …, ClockSegN-1}<br />

(mandatory for multi segment waveforms)<br />

The tag contains a list of clock frequencies for every segment in the multi segment waveform<br />

in ASCII floating point format.<br />
