Opens the "Instruments" dialog.

on page 32.
Opens the standard Windows Remote Desktop connection to the
chosen instrument.
Opens the "Remote Control" menu.

on page 46.
If the Remote Desktop connection or the Remote Control dialog is active, the block
turns green to indicate an active remote connection to the instrument.
5.9.4 Remote Control Dialog
This dialog provides the option to remotely control the chosen instrument by means of a
basic set of control functions. The instrument can be controlled without Remote Desktop.
In the Remote Control dialog, the current instrument configuration is always displayed
and can be checked. Here, the settings of the instrument can be changed remotely.
If one or more of these settings are changed on the instrument without using the Remote
Control menu, the menu will be updated automatically to the new settings.
When the "Remote Control" dialog is open, the "Remote LED" on the Front Panel of the
instrument starts to flash, indicating that the instrument is set to remote state periodically.
This is necessary to query the instrument status. The flashing stops when the "Remote
Control" dialog is closed.
Remote Control of the ARB Generator
► In the Main window, select "Arb Sig Gen Block > Config > Remote Control (SCPI)".
The ​Remote Control ARB dialog opens.
The display of the dialog depends on the selected instrument.
