Concentration Calculation and Calibration<br />

The concentration calculation is defined as the process that transforms a detector count into a<br />

displayed final concentration. The process is as follows:<br />

DETECTOR COUNT TRANSLATED INTO A STANDARD DETECTOR CONCENTRATION<br />

USING A DETECTOR COUNT VS. DETECTOR CONCENTRATION CALIBRATION CURVE.<br />

STANDARD DETECTOR CONCENTRATION IS CORRECTED TO A SPECIFIC GAS USING<br />

THE INSTRUMENT RESPONSE FACTOR.<br />

SPECIFIC GAS CONCENTRATION IS BACKGROUND CORRECTED (IF ENABLED)<br />

INSTRUMENT RESPONSE FACTOR AND BACKGROUND CORRECTED CONCENTRA-<br />

TION IS RF CORRECTED USING THE CURRENT ROUTE ENTRY RF (IF ANY)<br />
