hooked the lift line using the parahook. At the<br />

forward flight station, the upper part of the lift<br />

line was drawn into the aircraft through the overhead<br />

escape hatch using the pilot’s hook, and excess<br />

line was cut off. <strong>The</strong> end attached to the sky<br />

anchor was held until the sky anchor was released.<br />

At the ramp the parahook was raised by<br />

the primary winch and the overhead pulley, thus<br />

drawing the lift line aboard the ramp (fig. 5c and<br />

fig. 5d).<br />

A snatch block, attached at one end to the<br />

standby winch, was connected to the lift line below<br />

the parahook, and the winch was reeled in<br />

until the snatch block neared the winch (fig. 5e).<br />

An anchor clamp, attached at one end to a tiedown<br />

just forward of the winch platform, was<br />

then clamped to the lift line as far back as possible,<br />

and the standby winch was reeled out until<br />
