The Figure 2 shown here is the vision of themodel for Sky Woodland. The proposed woodland on the building roof will form athick canopy covering the whole flat roof within 3 ~ 4 years. As the green roof islocated among the high rise residential and industrial buildings, it will greatlyimprove and enhance the visual comfort of the community.Figure 2: Sky Woodland Model (10~20 nos. trees will be planted)This pioneering pilot project contributes both environmental and scientific researchvalue, aiming at exploring the viability and effectiveness of creating an intensivegreen roof on the top of a substation building. The data collected and experiencegained from this development can greatly enhance the successful development ofother green roof projects within CLP Power as well as other local developments.Its aim is to demonstrate and promote the practice of green rooftop in Hong Kongand its applicability to neighboring regions.225
