Central Intelligent Lighting ControlAlthough the intelligent lighting control system can provide a more flexible andversatile arrangement to suit the office layout or operation needs, it would alsoneed to take more time to fine-tune the system to meet end-users’ requirementsafter the occupation. Over reliance on the system would also cause inconvenienceto end-users. An example is that one building design relied only on centralintelligent control system and occupancy sensors without providing local lightingswitches. It drew quite a number of complaints before the central system could befine-tuned to suit each zone. End-users would usually appreciate the auto controlof the lighting system, however, they also prefer certain degrees of self-control onthe lighting on-off.533
