For the offices located at the perimeter of the building which weredesigned to be open-plan, the return air was extracted via the air space between the2 layers of glass of the double glass window. Some of the open-plan offices weresubsequently required to be divided into cellular offices after occupation. On-sitemeasurements indicated that the ventilated double-layered glass wall was veryefficient in terms of removing the incident heat and the noise penetration from theexternal environment. However, a short circuit for the sound transmission betweenadjacent cellular offices were resulted via the louvers opening along the glass walls.Figure 5: Air path through double-layered glass wall531
