Table 10 shows theaverage difference in temperature between the simulated and measured statevariables. The overall average temperature differences were 1.32°C (System 1) and0.92 ° C (System 2). Considering the accuracy range (±1.0°C) of the usedthermocouples (Omega T Type), the calibrated model proved surprisingly accuratein the prediction of the most relevant state variables. It indicates that the calibratedparameters compensate for errors introduced by the space averaging, other modelsimplifications and unexplained phenomena.
