From the Compendium, the age-specific mortality rates for prostate cancer for 2006-
2008 are given in Table 261 for Hull and comparators (see section 3.3.3 on page 44).

mortality rates have been calculated for each Locality (Table 262).

The figures for Hull differ slightly from the Compendium because different population
estimates have been used. The total number of deaths from prostate cancer over the
three year period 2007-2009 was 100.
As the majority of the prostate cancer deaths are occur over the age of 75 years, Table
263 gives the total number of deaths from prostate cancer for all ages for the three year
period 2007-2009. The all age directly standardised mortality rates (DSRs) are also
