10.12.3.1 Incidence of Measles in Hull and Comparator Areas
From the Compendium, the incidence rate of measles in those under one year of age
and those under 15 years of age is given in Table 364 for the years 2005 to 2008 for
Hull and comparator areas. It can be seen that the rates of measles are considerably
higher in Hull than England. Due to the small number of cases locally (just over 100
cases over four years), the confidence intervals are very wide suggesting uncertainty
about the rate. However, the lower limits of the confidence intervals for Hull (175.4 and
60.6 for those aged
