The presenter expla<strong>in</strong>s that the discourse analyses <strong>of</strong> discussion <strong>of</strong> results<br />

chapters <strong>in</strong> the literature have identified a series <strong>of</strong> typical moves (content units)<br />

and sub-moves used to create each ma<strong>in</strong> move (see Figure 2). It is emphasised<br />

that these are options and that a recycl<strong>in</strong>g <strong>of</strong> moves and sub-moves is characteristic<br />

<strong>of</strong> the part-genre.<br />
