CONCLUSIONES A partir del siglo XIX el arte europeo se caracteriza por el abandono de la temática religiosa, a excepción de algunos artistas. Los talleres de imaginería son uno de los últimos reductos de arte religioso, especialmente en España y en particular en Sevilla. La imaginería tradicional se nutre principalmente de las copias y reproducciones del barroco, empleando las nuevas técnicas y materiales. La iconografía del Cristo crucificado se estanca, y los paños de pureza ya no se renuevan, sino que se repiten. 347
