Patient Assist<br />

Use the PNT ASSIST menu item to configure the Patient Assist port output signal to be generated for<br />

use with remote alarm systems.<br />

• Allows for the changing of the patient assist alarm output signal used with remote alarm<br />

systems, which in turn will allow users a means of distinguishing the high pressure alarm<br />

(HIGH PRES) from other alarms.<br />

To select the Patient Assist output signal:<br />

1) Push the Select button while PNT ASSIST is displayed.<br />

2) NORMAL or PULSE is displayed.<br />

• When NORMAL is selected, the ventilator sets the Patient Assist Port output signal<br />

continuously on for all alarms and is for use with single tone remote alarm and patient assist<br />

call systems. NORMAL is the factory set default setting.<br />

• When PULSE is selected, the ventilator sets the Patient Assist Port output signal continuous<br />

on for the HIGH PRES alarm, cycles the Patient Assist output signal on / off for all other<br />

alarms and is for use with dual tone remote alarm systems.<br />

3) Turn the Set Value knob until the desired setting is displayed.<br />

4) Push the Select button.<br />

Range: PULSE or NORMAL<br />

Exit<br />

To return to the top of the ALARM OP menu:<br />

1) Push the Select button while EXIT is displayed.<br />
