Replacing the Automobile Adapter Fuse<br />

To replace the fuse:<br />

1) Unscrew the knurled nut.<br />

2) Remove the contact point, nut, fuse and spring as shown below. Be careful not to lose the<br />

internal spring, as the adapter will not operate correctly without it.<br />

3) Replace the spring and new fuse as shown.<br />

4) Ensure that the retaining ring is properly in place.<br />

5) Replace the contact point and tighten the nut.<br />

The Universal Power Supply (UPS)<br />

The Pulmonetic Systems Universal Power Supply kit is a rechargeable external power source and<br />

backup system for Pulmonetic Systems’ devices. It has the following features:<br />

• AC/DC Converter<br />

• Backup Battery Charger<br />

• Power and Charge Status LED<br />

• Audible and visual alarms to indicate loss of mains power<br />

The Universal Power supply provides an AC derived DC power source which is backed up by a<br />

rechargeable 12 volt sealed lead - acid battery. It can power the ventilator and the graphics monitor.<br />

For more information refer to the UPS Operator’s <strong>Manual</strong>, P/N 14492.<br />

The Transport Battery System (TBS)<br />

The TBS is a portable, re-chargeable external power source for the <strong>LTV</strong> ® ventilators. It has the<br />

following features:<br />

• Two no-maintenance re-chargeable Lithium Ion batteries providing up to six hours of mobile<br />

power for the <strong>LTV</strong> ® ventilator.<br />

• The TBS is easy and convenient to set-up and operate and the system includes a battery<br />

charger for use when the TBS has been disconnected from the ventilator<br />
