BAT EMPTY<br />

When the ventilator is operating on internal battery power and the battery charge level falls below the<br />

empty threshold, the BAT EMPTY alarm is generated. For patient safety, this alarm can only be<br />

silenced once for 30 seconds and cannot be silenced preemptively. After the 30 seconds has<br />

elapsed, the alarm cannot be silenced again and will continue to sound and display until an alternate<br />

power source is provided or the battery is depleted and the ventilator goes INOP. This alarm will<br />

always sound at maximum volume.<br />

WARNING<br />

BAT EMPTY alarm - A BAT EMPTY alarm indicates the internal battery is almost depleted. Connect<br />

the ventilator to an external power source immediately.<br />

Alarme BAT EMPTY - Une alarme BAT EMPTY indique que la pile interne est pratiquement à plat.<br />

Branchez immédiatement le ventilateur à une source d'alimentation externe.<br />

When a BAT EMPTY alarm occurs:<br />

• The Battery Level LED displays red.<br />

• The BAT EMPTY message is displayed.<br />

• The audible alarm is sounded.<br />

NOTE<br />

Volume of the BAT EMPTY alarm cannot be lowered. For patient safety, this alarm will always sound<br />

at full volume.<br />

REMARQUE<br />

Le volume de l’alarme batterie faible ne peut être réduit. Pour la sécurité des patients, le volume de<br />

l’émission de cette alarme est toujours fort.<br />

To temporarily silence the BAT EMPTY alarm:<br />

1) Push the Silence Reset button once to silence the audible alarm for 30 seconds only.<br />

The BAT EMPTY alarm can only be silenced once and cannot be reset until the battery is recharged<br />

or external power is applied.<br />
