Procedure:<br />

Set the O2% control to 22% C-18<br />

2) B)<br />

Reset O2% to 21 and clear the C-18<br />

alarm. Set the Low Min. Vol. alarm<br />

to 10 L<br />

2) C)<br />

Reset the Low Min. Vol. alarm to C-18<br />

1.0 and clear the alarm.<br />

Set the Low Pressure alarm to 60.<br />

2) D)<br />

Set the Low Pressure alarm to 5 C-18<br />

and clear the alarm.<br />

Set the High Pres Limit to 10<br />

cmH2O below the Peak Inspiratory<br />

Pressure.<br />

2) E)<br />

Reset the High Pres. Limit alarm to C-18<br />

100 and clear the alarm.<br />

2) F)<br />

Disconnect the high pressure sense C-19<br />

line from the ventilator<br />

2) G)<br />

Reconnect the high pressure sense C-19<br />

line and clear the alarm<br />

2) H)<br />

Change control settings as follows: C-19<br />

Mode: Pressure, Assist/Cntl<br />

Pressure Control: 20<br />

PEEP: 20<br />

2) I)<br />

Disconnect AC Adapter from<br />

Ventilator at pigtail cable connector.<br />

C-19<br />

2) J)<br />

LOW O2 PRES alarm activates after a short<br />

pause<br />

LOW MIN VOL alarm activates<br />

LOW PRES alarm activates<br />

HIGH PRES alarm activates.<br />

DISC/SENSE alarm activates on the next<br />

breath<br />

Selected Monitors should read as follows:<br />

PIP: 36 to 44 cmH2O<br />

PEEP: 17 to 23 cmH2O<br />

No alarms activate<br />

POWER LOST alarm activates<br />

Battery Level LED illuminates showing the<br />

charge level.<br />

Ventilator continues to operate from the<br />

internal battery<br />
