Individual Assistance (IA) Program<br />
<strong>Management</strong> CCP/DUA/DLS Specialist<br />
(E356)<br />
The purpose of this course is to provide in-depth<br />
knowledge to CCP/DUA/DLS Specialists to assist<br />
with the oversight, management, evaluation, and<br />
coordination of all phases of the Crisis Counseling<br />
Assistance and Training Program (CCP), Disaster<br />
Unemployment Assistance (DUA), and Disaster<br />
Legal Services (DLS) Programs (CCP/DUA/DLS).<br />
The course will discuss effective management in<br />
order that these programs are fully implemented for<br />
FEMA and its partners and are ultimately beneficial<br />
for the disaster-affected individual.<br />
Selection Criteria: The primary audience is FEMA<br />
Disaster Assistance Employees (DAEs) who are<br />
currently identified as Crisis Counseling (CC), Disaster<br />
Unemployment Assistance (DUA), and Disaster Legal<br />
Services (DLS) Specialists and will be deployed in that<br />
capacity. Priority will be given to the primary audience.<br />
The secondary audience is other IA personnel<br />
who have implemented, managed, and monitored<br />
the CC, DUA, and DLS programs within the last 2<br />
years. They will be admitted on space availability.<br />
Prerequisites: Participant must be a member of the<br />
FEMA Individual Assistance Cadre and must have<br />
completed IS-101, Deployment Basics: <strong>Federal</strong> Disaster<br />
Workforce Readiness, and IS-403, Introduction to Individual<br />
Assistance (IA).<br />

Individual Assistance (IA) Branch Director<br />
(E/L358)<br />
This course is specifically designed for FEMA<br />
employees who have held the position of Individual<br />
Assistance Branch Director. This exercise-based<br />
course will provide real-world issues, challenges,<br />
requirements, and solutions to build on the participant’s<br />
past experiences in the field. The goal of this<br />
course is to ensure that Individual Assistance Branch<br />
Directors are fully capable to successfully perform in<br />
a high profile or catastrophic event.<br />

as the Individual Assistance Branch Director.<br />

Managers Training, and E758, DHS/FEMA Individuals and<br />
Households Program (IHP), Grants, and Financial Closeout.<br />

Assistance (ONA) Specialist (E/L359)<br />
This course provides training to FEMA Individual<br />
Assistance personnel to enable them to initiate,<br />
operate, and transition Other Needs Assistance<br />
(ONA) during a Presidentially declared event.<br />
Selection Criteria: FEMA IA staff including FEMA ONA<br />
Specialist, ONA Manager, and ONA Team Leader.<br />

FEMA State Public Assistance (PA)<br />
Workshop (E372)<br />
Designed for FEMA Public Assistance (PA) staff and<br />
State and Tribal PA officers responsible for implementing<br />
the PA program at the <strong>Federal</strong> or State level.<br />
Includes a forum for identifying, discussing, and/or<br />
resolving PA Program issues.<br />
Selection Criteria: FEMA Public Assistance staff and<br />
State/Tribal Public Assistance Officers.<br />
