Advanced Property <strong>Management</strong> (E/L721)<br />
The purpose of this course is to provide Accountable<br />
Property Officers (APOs) with the knowledge and<br />
skills for cost effective and efficient management<br />
of Agency assets. The primary foundation for the<br />
curriculum will be the Personal Property Manual<br />
119-7-1. The course use of the Personal Property<br />
Manual will be supplemented by Standard Operating<br />
Procedures (SOPs) and other Agency documents.<br />
Selection Criteria: The primary target audience consists<br />
of FEMA fully accredited Property Officers with a<br />
minimum of 2 years’ experience in FEMA; also<br />
Property <strong>Management</strong> Officers (PMOs), Logistics<br />
Chiefs, Accountable Property Officers (APOs), and<br />
<strong>Federal</strong> Coordination Officers (FCOs).<br />
Prerequisites:<br />
Required: IS-23, Custodial Officer Training; IS-24, Receiving<br />
Officer Training; IS-25, Basic Property <strong>Management</strong>;<br />
knowledge of the FEMA Personal Property Manual<br />
119-7-1 and the <strong>Federal</strong> <strong>Management</strong> Regulation<br />
(FMR); and knowledge of Joint Field Office (JFO)<br />
and/or agency fixed facilities operations.<br />

Logistics Information <strong>Management</strong> System<br />
(LIMS) (E722)<br />
This course provides participants with the necessary<br />
database skills to effectively complete required<br />
property accountability transactions. It is mandatory<br />
that the LIMS automated system be used to maintain<br />
accountable property and records.<br />
Selection Criteria: All Accountable Property Officers,<br />
Custodial Officers, and personnel who handle and/<br />
or manage Agency property who have not previously<br />
attended the LIMS III course. Attendance selections<br />
will be based on meeting the Agency’s accountable<br />
property mission.<br />

Required: IS-23, Custodial Officer Training, and IS-25,<br />
Basic Property <strong>Management</strong>.<br />

Logistics Information <strong>Management</strong> System<br />
(LIMS) for Custodial Officers (E/L730)<br />
This course is designed to provide management level<br />
personnel and Custodial Officers with the skills to<br />
navigate LIMS so that they may view the status of the<br />
Personal Property in their area of responsibility for<br />
the purpose of compiling reports and/or the supervision<br />
of the FEMA Personal Property staff.<br />
Selection Criteria: Custodial Officers or personnel in<br />
managerial positions who have a requirement for<br />
knowledge of the status of FEMA Personal Property<br />
in their area of responsibility.<br />
Prerequisites:<br />
Required: IS-23, Custodial Officer Training; IS-24,<br />
Receiving Officer Training <strong>Course</strong>; and IS-25, Basic Property<br />
<strong>Management</strong>.<br />
