o person, who represents, and his full address, which shall be used for the cross-check of information
from box 14 of import declaration,
o time of validity of power of attorney (from – until), which shall be used for the cross-check of
information from box 14 or 54 of import declaration,
o customs office or the list of customs offices, where this authorisation is valid,
o date of actual record of the registry of power of attorney,
o date of annulment of the power of attorney, which shall be used for the cross-check of information
from box 14 or 54 of import declaration.
4.1.4 Authorised economic operator (AEO)
- According to the Article 6-a of Customs Law 1 the Macedonian Customs authorities, if necessary
following consultation with other competent authorities, shall grant the status of "authorised economic
operator" (AEO) to any economic operator established in the Macedonian customs territory.
- The status of authorised economic operator shall be granted based on the rules and conditions laid down
in the Article 6-a para. 5 of Customs Law 1 , without prejudice to customs controls. Customs authorities
shall, on the basis of the recognition of the status of authorised economic operator and provided that the
requirements relating to a specific type of simplification are fulfilled, authorise the operator to benefit
from that simplification.
- The criteria for granting the status of authorised economic operator are specified in the Article 6-a para.
4 and 5 of Customs Law 1 .
4.1.4.1 Simplifications
- An authorised economic operator shall benefit from facilitations with regard to simplifications provided
for under the customs rules, according to the Article 6-a para. 2 of Customs Law 1 .
- The registry of authorisation of authorised economic operators, who shall benefit from facilitations with
regard to simplifications, shall contain the following information/conditions to be automatically crosschecked:
o registration number of authorisation, which shall be used for the cross-check of information from
box 44 of customs declaration,
o holder of authorisation, which shall be used for the cross-check of information from box 14 or 50 of
customs declaration,
o full address of the holder of authorisation, which shall be used for the cross-check of information
from box 14 or 50 of customs declaration,
o time of validity of authorisation (from – until), which shall be used for the cross-check of
information from box 54 or 50 of customs declaration,
o date of actual record of the authorisation,
o date of annulment of the authorisation, which shall be used for the cross-check of information from
box 54 or 50 of customs declaration,
o full text of the actual wording of authorisation,
o history of the authorisation.
4.1.4.2 Security and safety
- An authorised economic operator shall benefit from facilitations with regard to customs controls relating
to security and safety provided for under the customs rules, according to the Article 6-a para. 2 of
Customs Law 1 .
