Data Management and Compiling Databases<br />

• If the file to Re-ID contains YT or FF plate data the with only one<br />

incubation time, choose the corresponding endpoint database file<br />

for that time in the Re-ID Database field. For example, if the FF<br />

file is from 24-hour incubation time in Step 1, choose 1 Day. For<br />

the Re-ID Database, select FF60124.eid (24 Hour).<br />

SELECT RE-ID DATABASE WINDOW<br />

• If the YT/FF file contains several incubation times, select All<br />

at Step 1. The software will compile and Re-ID the entries by<br />

strain name and incubation time. You do not need to select a<br />

database for the Re-ID Database field.<br />

• Click Go to Re-ID the file.<br />

• Indication bars at the bottom of the window shows the Re-ID<br />

progress.<br />

• Click OK when the process is finished.<br />

Printing data headers, species counts and dendrograms<br />

These features are automatically printed once they are compiled. The<br />

software does not save a permanent record.<br />

1. Choose the existing file to compile by clicking on the Data<br />

Management File field on the Data Management window. A<br />

Data File dialog box appears.<br />

2. Click on the desired file name.<br />

3. Click Open.<br />

4. In the What Processing To Do section:<br />

• Enable the check mark next to Make Index File (this must be<br />

enabled to use the rest of this feature).<br />
