Static prism system
To do justice to the different
requirements of solar protection
and light control, different
applications for static prism
system were developed, which can
be used as a system with several
levels, singly or in combinations.
Therefore it is possible to achieve
excellent specific requirements
with daylight, e.g. for video area
use. The single elements, which
have each a face coated with ultra
pure aluminium AL99,99, are
joined together by a swallow tail
connection to the required size
then cut and integrated within an
double glazing. They are held in
their specific optically ideal
position by connection clips on the
corner points.
Modules with edge lengths up to
3m are possible.
Principle
The reflective area of a prism can
be enlarged by an aluminium
coating on one of the prism faces.
The aluminium coated area
reflects perpendicular incident
light. The concept of fixed systems
is made possible by the large
reflective area. Fixed systems can
be adapted to different
requirements (geographical
location, gradient of the glazing,
orientation etc.) by different
prismatic structures or orientation
of the prismatic refractor panels
within the double glazing.
The static prism system reflects the direct sunlight from certain directions (shown here in red)
and allows the diffuse light from larger angles to pass through (shown here in white).
