Recessed Downlights for premium installations
Recessed Downlights Lunis_E offer excellent solutions for different
illumination requirements in offices, public and retail areas.
The luminaires are equipped with the newly patented
VirtualSource® optical system and therefore are not only
extremely well suited for VDU equipped offices but also for
multipurpose requirements in conference halls, retail
applications or circulation zones. VirtualSource® guarantees
reduced glare according to BAP55/Cat.1 and has an all-round
uniform light distribution to achieve high visual comfort.
For decorative settings in retail areas, entrance halls, waiting
rooms or areas with high ceilings, luminaires with narrow beam
light characteristics are used. Typically these luminaires are
equipped with Metal Halide lamps (e.g. Philips CDM-TT 70W).
Luminaires can be supplied with mains voltage halogen lamps,
both utilise a light distribution disc to create a more diffuse
lighting effect.
Excellent alternatives are offered by the high quality compact
fluorescent lamps (e.g.TC-TEL42W) which offer high lumen
packages, dimming ability, instant re-ignition and relatively low
price.
The wallwashing downlights are ideal to illuminate vertical
surfaces such as pictures in galleries, hallways, shelves in retail
stores or posters. Wallwashers with a narrow beam characteristic
create a small area of intensive light on the wall and therefore
are more suited for high ceiling areas. Wallwashers with a wide
beam illuminate a larger area. The controlled light distribution
on to the vertical surface is achieved with a special reflector
system, creating a rapid transition of illumination on the wall
starting directly underneath the ceiling line. The luminaires
should be installed 50 to 100cm from the wall where 30% of the
light will illuminate the vertical face and 70% will contribute to
the general lighting.
