Emergency options
• Emergency luminaires with E14 lampholders (A) have separate
push wire terminal blocks for emergency supply connection.
• Emergency luminaires with integral battery and inverter packs
(B) are for 3 hour or 1 hour operation.
• Separate changeover emergency supply luminaires (C)
A) Emergency E14 lampholder
This is a fundamental concept in the Lunis® product range.
However, there are several reflector options, where this would not
be a practical approach, due to the size constraints within the
luminaire (e.g. DA 162mm twin lamp variant). In these cases it
would be more appropriate to use a larger diameter reflector. To
specify this version, add the suffix –01 to the product code for the
respective luminaire.
To specify integral battery/inverter systems for the Lunis® and
Lunis_E ranges, add the suffix –02 for a 1 hour system and –03 for
a 3 hour system.
Example: 5LR 112 7-2HA61-03 refers to,
Recessed Lunis® downlighter, 60 0 narrow beam, DA 212mm, 2 x
TC-DEL 26W with integral 3 hour battery/inverter system.

C) Separate changeover supply luminaires.

B) Integral battery/inverter emergency pack
Compact fluorescent lamp luminaires are ideally suited to be
used as emergency lighting. Either as a single lamp luminaire or
as an emergency lamp within a twin lamp fixture, a standard
battery/inverter unit can operate for 1 hour or 3 hours giving a
fixed light output over this period.
Only luminaires with DA = 212mm can be equipped in this
manner, for DA = 162mm, options can be given on request.
The luminaires must be used appropriately and wired
corresponding to any relevant wiring specifications. Due to
availability and economy considerations, only lamps to a
maximum of TC-DEL 26W can be provided with emergency
conversions. Higher wattages e.g TC-TEL 32W and 42W are
problematic due to varying specific lamp quality. If these
wattages are required an equivalent TC-DEL lamp should be
considered (e.g. Lunis_E range).
