Field Description<br />

Chapter 4: Ethernet Interface Operational Mode <strong>Command</strong>s<br />

Name of the interface configured for the Ethernet ring.<br />

The Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) index number used by each<br />

interface in an Ethernet ring. The STP index controls the forwarding<br />

behavior for a set of VLANs on a data channel on an Ethernet ring<br />

port. For multiple Ethernet ring instances on an physical ring port,<br />

there are multiple STP index numbers. Different ring instances will<br />

have different STP index numbers and may have different forwarding<br />

behavior.<br />

• fowarding—Indicates packets are being forwarded.<br />

• discarding—Indicates packets are being discarded.<br />
