Field Description<br />

Displays the state of the Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol (CHAP)<br />

during its transaction.<br />

• Chap-Resp-received—Response received for the challenge sent, but CHAP<br />

not yet moved into the Success state. (Most likely with RADIUS<br />

authentication.)<br />

• Chap-Resp-sent—Response sent for the challenge received.<br />

• Chap-Chal-sent—Challenge sent.<br />

• Chap-Chal-received—Challenge received but response not yet sent.<br />

• Down—CHAP authentication is incomplete (not yet completed or has failed).<br />

• Not-configured—CHAP is not configured on the interface.<br />

• Opened—CHAP authentication was successful.<br />

Protocol family configured on the logical interface. If the family is inet, the IP<br />

address of the logical interface and the IP address on the remote side of the<br />

connection are included.<br />

Protocol family configured on the logical interface.<br />

MTU size on the logical interface.<br />

Unique number for use by <strong>Juniper</strong> <strong>Networks</strong> technical support only.<br />

Routing table in which the logical interface address is located. For example, 0<br />

refers to the routing table inet.0.<br />

Information about the protocol family flags. Possible values are described in<br />

the “Family Flags” section under “Common Output Fields Description” on<br />

page 125.<br />

Information about the address flags. Possible values are described in the<br />

“Addresses Flags” section under “Common Output Fields Description” on<br />

page 125.<br />

IP address of the remote side of the connection.<br />

IP address of the logical interface.<br />

Broadcast address.<br />

Unique number for use by <strong>Juniper</strong> <strong>Networks</strong> technical support only.<br />
