C6.2.10. DLA. Defense Logistics Agency<br />

C6.2.11. Hazardous Constituent. A chemical compound that is listed by name in Appendix<br />

A or possesses the characteristics described in Appendix B.1 or is listed on the USEUCOM<br />

Waste List.<br />

C6.2.12. Hazardous Urban Waste. A sub-category of urban waste identified as hazardous<br />

in the USEUCOM Waste List or by Municipal authorities that includes:<br />

C6.2.12.1. Mercury, nickel-cadmium, and lithium batteries from household appliances<br />

C6.2.12.2. Fluorescent lights<br />

C6.2.12.3. Pesticides<br />

C6.2.12.4. Photographic chemicals<br />

C6.2.12.5. Solvents<br />

C6.2.12.6. Acids<br />

C6.2.12.7. Discarded equipment containing chlorofluorcarbons<br />

C6.2.12.8. Non-edible oil and fat<br />

C6.2.12.9. Paints, inks, adhesives and resins containing dangerous substances<br />

C6.2.12.10. Detergents containing dangerous substances<br />

C6.2.12.11. Cytotoxic and cytostatic medicines<br />

C6.2.12.12. Electrical and electronic equipment<br />

C6.2.12.13. Wood containing dangerous substances<br />

C6.2.12.14. Any container labeled with “T” (toxic) and/or “F” (flammable) sold for<br />

private use only (from households)<br />

C6.2.13. Hazardous Waste (HW). Any waste identified as hazardous in the USEUCOM<br />

Waste List or presenting 1 or more hazardous properties and containing constituents in<br />

concentrations at or above the thresholds listed in Appendix B.1.<br />

C6.2.14. Hazardous Waste Accumulation Point (HWAP). A shop, site, or other work<br />

center where hazardous wastes are accumulated until removed to a Temporary Waste Storage<br />

Area (TWSA) or Waste Storage Area (WSA), or shipped for treatment or disposal. An HWAP<br />

may be used to accumulate no more than 208 liters (55 gallons) of hazardous waste or 1 liter (1<br />
