ITALY - 13 Natural Resources and Endangered Species
C13.3.1.2. The following activities are prohibited for Italian protected animal and plant
species (see C13.3.2.):
C13.3.1.2.1. The capture or killing of the species in its natural habitat
C13.3.1.2.2. The disturbance of the species during its reproductive cycle,
hibernation, or migration
species
C13.3.1.2.3. The destruction or collection of eggs or nests
C13.3.1.2.4. The damage or destruction of the sites used for reproduction or rest
C13.3.1.2.5. To pick up, collect, uproot, or destroy any specimen of the plant
C13.3.1.2.6. To possess, transport, or trade any specimen of the plant species
C13.3.1.2.7. Operations to be undertaken in an area subject to landscape protection
under the Regional landscape zoning plan shall be permitted. The request for a permit will be
submitted to the Italian Base Commander (see Chapter 1 for the process).

C13.3.1.2.8.1. Capture, killing, or disturbing of animal species
C13.3.1.2.8.2. Collection or destruction of plant species
C13.3.1.2.8.3. Introduction of plants different from indigenous species
C13.3.1.2.8.4. Modification of surface hydro regime
C13.3.1.2.8.5. Modification of existing marine or terrestrial caves
C13.3.1.2.8.6. Creation of quarries, landfill or mines
C13.3.1.2.8.7. Taking samples with major archeological or geological interest
C13.3.1.2.8.8. Destruction, modification of biogeochemical cycles
C13.3.1.2.8.9. Introduction of weapons by a private citizen
C13.3.1.2.8.10. Camping outside of dedicated areas
C13.3.1.2.8.11. Driving off roads
C13.3.1.2.8.12. Advertising without a permit
C13.3.2. Installations shall maintain, or have access to Table 13.1 and the websites listed in
C13.2.9.
