1. Where did you see the call for PBB?<br />

On the email.<br />

2. Why did you apply for PBB?<br />

The exhibition fit exactly what I was doing at that time.<br />

3. What about the brief made you think your work was appropriate?<br />

Just reading the general idea of the exhibition. The combination of technology,<br />

art and design…that’s exactly what I was doing, or at least what I thought I was<br />

doing… so reading it I thought ‘that fits perfectly’.<br />

4. What did you expect to get out of the exhibition?<br />

I’d been working for quite a while as a professional designer, but I hadn’t been<br />

working on individual things, it was always related to companies, so this is one<br />

of, if not the, first big object that I had come up with the brief myself and was<br />

very personal to me as an interest. To be able to exhibit this first piece of work<br />

was interesting for me to go through the process. I’ve done a lot of stuff before,<br />

but it never was just my name, or my vision which I had to represent.<br />

5. Who did you expect to be in the exhibition?<br />

6. Was there someone you expected to be in the exhibition that<br />

wasn’t?<br />

From the brief, not specifically, I just expected certain people to participate with<br />

similar interests. I didn’t expect any one in particular. Just to meet people who<br />

did similar stuff or think about similar questions.<br />

7. Was there anyone in the exhibition you were surprised by?<br />

Not surprised, the range of the exhibition was wider than I thought, but that<br />

probably had to do with me looking at it from my point of view and I thought<br />

the fact that it was very wide was one of the good things about the exhibition.<br />

When I first looked at the other projects I didn’t know where to position myself<br />

within this range. I didn’t really feel it until I got to see all the work. In the<br />

beginning things like the Grandma project, it felt like it was quite far in terms of<br />
