Alternative 3: Alternative 3 is a non-gaming option where the casino/hotel shown at the core of the site in<br />

Alternatives 1 is replaced with a hotel and general entertainment <strong>com</strong>ponent. The <strong>com</strong>ponents listed below were<br />

used to estimate the amount of traffic generated under Alternative 3. The trip generation rate for the central portion<br />

of the project was based on the hotel, the entertainment <strong>com</strong>ponents (bowling alley and recreational space), the<br />

external restaurant space, and the specialty retail area. Components within the central building such as the lounge<br />

and conference space were considered incidental and ancillary uses to the primary hotel and entertainment<br />

<strong>com</strong>ponents, as discussed in more detail in Section 5, Trip Generation and Distribution.<br />

Access to the site is proposed to be provided via three driveways along the Highway 2 frontage (1 full<br />

movement; 2 right-in/right-out) and three driveways along Craig Road.<br />

The project study area for this <strong>Traffic</strong> <strong>Impact</strong> <strong>Analysis</strong> was determined through discussions with<br />

WSDOT, City of Airway Heights and Spokane County. The study intersections include:<br />

The study focused on the traffic operations characteristics of the above intersections. The traffic study<br />

was scoped to include analysis of PM peak hour conditions and includes various analysis scenarios plus<br />
