MATUTINE (MATUTINAL)
Stars that rise in the early morning before the
Sun are referred to as matutine. The planets,
particularly the Moon, Mercury, and Venus, can
be matutinal.
MEAN MOTION
Because celestial bodies move in elliptical
orbits, their speed varies depending upon their
location. Mean motion refers to their average
speed.
