Appendix A: Reading Your Own Astrology Chart
Saturn Conjunct Uranus: You are rebellious and innovative, but in a very determined and
practical manner. You invent and change things, but always from the very center or heart,
never from the periphery. You alter and invent at the deepest symbolical or programming level.
Saturn Opposite Uranus: Your natural sense of responsibility struggles against a rebellious
streak, a wish to break away and dare to be different. You may find yourself opposing authority
now and again or having unusual friends. You overturn the apple cart every once in a while.
Saturn Trine, Sextile, or Semi-sextile Uranus: Improvement of existing circumstances.
Insights into the status quo, ways to make use of a situation to serve new needs. Making a “silk
purse out of a sow’s ear” sort of thing. Invention, electronics, computers.
Saturn Square, Semi-square, or Sesqui-square Uranus: You are torn between the radical,
rebellious, and independent person you feel yourself to be, and a more conservative and traditional
bent. Your organized moments may lack originality, and your crazier moments want caution.
An ongoing battle.
Saturn Conjunct Neptune: You steadfastly go about making your dreams real, putting your
ideals into practice. Your imagination excels when it comes to physical reality (physics) and
working with time. Your flare for mysticism is never superficial or trivial.
Saturn Opposite Neptune: Your more conservative tendencies tend to put a damper on your
dreams and deep-seated ideals. You may tend to escape your responsibilities via friends and
excursions, mental or otherwise, into the realms of imagination, films, poetry, and the like.
Saturn Trine, Sextile, or Semi-sextile Neptune: Making “spirit” matter in day-to-day life,
making the ideal real by bringing it down to earth. Incorporation. Perhaps a fear of losing oneself
in the beginning, but in the long run, a love of the sea, space, and merging into one. Atone-ment.
Saturn Square, Semi-square, or Sesqui-square Neptune: Your sense of responsibility and discipline
often are at odds with your dreams and visions, a possible source of depression. You may
find yourself escaping routine in flights of fancy and imagination. You soon swing back and
grind on.
Saturn Conjunct Pluto: You are most practical when it comes to psychology or vulnerable
and sensitive issues. You relentlessly insist on stripping away nonessentials and getting at the
core of things in an attempt to be secure. Deep inner changes.
Saturn Opposite Pluto: Your conservative tendencies may find you somewhat superficial. You
avoid looking at or working with inner, emotional, and sensitive areas of your psyche unless
forced. You fear and yet are attracted to intense, passionate issues and emotional displays.
Saturn Trine, Sextile, or Semi-sextile Pluto: Persistent, intense, and serious. Getting at the
heart or root of a situation. Great psychological insight into life problems. Perhaps aiding or
counseling, helping others understand difficulties. Fiercely tenacious.
