Rule 10.113<br />

10.113. Clothing and equipment allowances. - (1) The following allowances are<br />

sanctioned by Government :-<br />

(a) An initial grant of Rs. 10 on account of clothing for each head constable and constable<br />

added to the sanctioned strength of the force.<br />

The grant for each head constable and constable added to the sanctioned strength of the<br />

force at the following places will be as shown against each :-<br />

1. Simla District . Rs. 19<br />

2. Kasauli ⎫<br />

3. Kyelang ⎪<br />

4. Suraj ⎪<br />

5. Dalhousie ⎬ Rs. 15<br />

6. Balun ⎪<br />

7. Bakloh ⎪<br />

8. Murree ⎭<br />

(b) An annual clothing allowance of Rs. 8 (for Simla District Rs. 12) for each head<br />

constable and constable calculated according to the sanctioned strength of the<br />

force.<br />

The annual clothing allowance for each head constable and constable sanctioned for the<br />

following places will be :-<br />

For lower subordinates of Simla District. . . . Rs. 19<br />

For lower subordinates at :-<br />

<strong>Police</strong> Station Kasauli ⎫<br />

Kyelang ⎪<br />

Suraj ⎪<br />

Dalhousie ⎬ Rs. 15<br />

Balun ⎪<br />

Bakloh ⎪<br />

Murree ⎭<br />

(c) Deleted.<br />

(d) An annual equipment allowance of Rs. 7 for each mounted head constable and<br />

constable and of Rs. 2 for each unmounted head constable and constable.<br />

(e) An initial grant of Rs. 15 for the provision of a bed and box for each head constable<br />

and constable added to the sanctioned strength of the force.<br />

(f) An initial grant of Rs. 75 on account of clothing and of Rs. 125 on account of<br />

equipment for each upper subordinate on first appointment to the police department<br />

and each head constable promoted substantively to the rank of assistant<br />

sub-inspector and annual grant of Rs. 19 on account of clothing and of Rs. 6 on<br />

account of equipment for each upper subordinate borne on the sanctioned<br />

strength. The Lady Inspector, Government Railway <strong>Police</strong>, shall be given a<br />

combined initial for clothing and equipment at Rs. 140 and an annual renewal<br />

grant of Rs. 80.<br />

The initial annual grants on account of clothing for upper subordinates sanctioned for<br />

the following places will be Rs. 113 and Rs. 32, respectively :-<br />

1. Simla District<br />

2. <strong>Police</strong> Station, Kasauli (District Ambala)
