Telegram charges - Payment for<br />

made by Service postage stamps<br />

only whether the telegram be<br />

despatched from a Government<br />

or Railway Telegraph Office.<br />

When Service Stamps are not<br />

available message may be paid<br />

for in cash. In such cases<br />

telegram receipts will be<br />

attached to the abstract<br />

contingent bill with a certificate<br />

from the head of the office, to<br />

the effect that the telegram was<br />

sent in the public service and<br />

that cash payment was<br />

unavoidable (Rule 12.11 (d) and<br />

(e) of Appendix 5, Civil<br />

All charges for hot weather<br />

establishment, such as punkha<br />

pullers, pankhas, ropes, tatties<br />

wood, coal.<br />

<strong>Police</strong> Stations brought to<br />

headquarters for destructions<br />

(6) cloth for bastas, character<br />

rolls or commendation<br />

certificates, and for despatching<br />

vernacular files, or for dusters<br />

(7) Lac or sealing wax for<br />

vernacular office<br />

(8) Notice or sign-boards<br />

(9) Lamps, chimneys, lanterns,<br />

candles and oil for lighting and<br />

electric current<br />

(10) Padlocks<br />

(11) Bags for dak, or for waste<br />

papers, etc.<br />

(12) Measuring tapes and<br />

standards for recruits, appliances<br />
