Slovénie It should emphasise the advantages in the Med region: culture,
history, tradition, natural resources, hospitality,
accommodation and other capacities, food & beverages...
Add to the explanation of tourist flow decreasing to Med: there
was not an awareness of the necessity to form the “ destination
trade mark ” Mediterranean and promote it jointly (as Alps).
Regionalising the Med area, we must add that the Adriatic
region :
• has suffered the most of the consequences of the split of Yugoslavia and
the violence in the Balkan region,
• suffered the pollution of the sea in the gulf of Trieste.
Croatie The general division of the Mediterranean in two regions
(North and South) seems not appropriate. There are three
In South and in Northeast, the approach towards protection
possibilities.
B-H starts almost from the zero in tourism development.
The work in the framework of MCSD is of great importance to
choose areas for case or feasibility study, which results and
experience can be used for a guideline document for
sustainable tourism development.
The reasons of unequal distribution of tourism in the
issues and concepts never faced before.
Two aspects related to the objectives of the Workshop make
Albania “ different ” :
• the tourism development require an introductory phase which may be
