Air Inuit
Air Inuit’s thirty-third year of air operations was both demanding
and rewarding. A number of initiatives were realized while
the Company remains financially stable.
Our safety management system continued to gain traction
with approximately 1000 submission treated in 2011. As normal,
we continually examine and resolve issues and events in
all dimensions and appreciate the participation of everyone
involved — safety is our most important
priority.
The frequency and quality of
scheduled service on primary routes,
bi-directional same plane service
from north to south on the Hudson
and increased Dash 8 service between
Dorval, Quebec City, Schefferville and
Sept-Iles were realized in 2011. We also
introduced improved aircraft such as
the Dash 8-300 across the network.
We have improved the seasonal
mapping of customer travel patterns
and when it gets very busy, such as for
holidays or festivals, we add supplementary scheduled aircraft.
These flights are planned and advertised in advance so travellers
can plan early. For instance, such flights to Kingait and Nain have
become popular and their frequency has been increased. The

Air Inuit a mis en place plusieurs initiatives au cours de
sa 33 e année d’exploitation qui s’est avérée à la fois exigeante
et stimulante tout en maintenant sa stabilité financière.
Notre système de gestion de la sécurité a enregistré environ
1000 entrées en 2011. Nous apprécions la participation de
tous, car la sécurité est notre priorité absolue, et nous examinons
constamment tous les problèmes et les incidents pour y trouver
des solutions.
La fréquence et la qualité des vols
réguliers sur nos principales routes
vers la baie d’Hudson, et entre Dorval,
Québec, Schefferville et Sept-Îles ont
été accrues ou améliorées en 2011
grâce à l’introduction de meilleurs
appareils, comme le Dash 8-300 dans
l’ensemble de notre réseau.
Nous avons poursuivi l’analyse des
données du service des réservations
relativement aux tendances saisonnières
de déplacement de notre clientèle
afin d’ajouter des vols au besoin pendant
les périodes de forte demande comme les congés et les
festivals. Ces vols supplémentaires sont planifiés et publicisés à
l’avance pour permettre aux voyageurs d’effectuer leur réservation
dès que possible. Les vols à destination de Kingait et Nain
sont très prisés et, par conséquent, nous avons augmenté leur
