Nunavik Biosciences Inc. had a good summer field season,<br />
although weather conditions were colder, windier and more<br />
rain than average. We harvested and processed approximately<br />
one ton of dried algae powder. From the dried algae powder we<br />
produce an extract used in our prestigious “Ungava” cosmetic<br />
products. The results of our maceration trials should also yield<br />
one ton. Macerations are a mix of raw seaweed and other liquid<br />
ingredients, which are blended and then strained to produce a<br />
filtrate that can be used in cosmetic production. The macerations<br />
will be used to produce a second cosmetic line, which will allow<br />

terrain malgré des conditions météorologiques anormalement<br />
froides, venteuses et pluvieuses. Nous avons récolté et traité<br />
environ une tonne de poudre d’algues séchées à partir de laquelle<br />
nous produisons un extrait utilisé dans nos produits cosmétiques<br />
de prestige « Ungava ». Nous devrions produire une autre tonne<br />
grâce à nos essais de macération. Les macérations sont obtenues<br />
à partir d’algues à l’état brut et d’autres ingrédients liquides<br />
qui, après avoir été mélangés et tamisés, produisent un filtrat<br />
utilisé dans la production de cosmétiques. Nous utiliserons<br />
