In 2010 a University of Montreal professor of Criminology
tabled a report to the Working Group that presents a project for
the reconstruction of social regulation in Nunavik. The project
is innovative and is meant to address social problems based
on the values of protection, support, assistance and healing
instead of repression and punishment. Representatives of the
Working Group presented the project to the Regional Partnership
Committee and will meet with the Committee again for the possible
implementation of the project.

judiciaires, les services pour les détenus et l’information en
matière de droit civil.
En 2010, une professeure de criminologie de l’Université de
Montréal a présenté au Groupe de travail un projet de reconstruction
de la régulation sociale au Nunavik. Ce projet novateur
vise à résoudre les problèmes sociaux en s’appuyant sur des
valeurs de protection, de soutien, d’aide et de guérison au lieu
de la répression et de la punition. Des représentants du Groupe
de travail ont présenté le projet au Comité de partenariat régional,
et rencontreront de nouveau ce comité concernant cet
éventuel projet.
