additional Twin Otter was also based in Puvirnituq in order that<br />

charters (and cargo) move smoothly from this expanding hub.<br />

Our Boeing 737 service from Dorval to Puvirnituq increased<br />

to six-day service and the replacement of HS748 aircraft with<br />

a modified Dash 8-300 freighter have greatly improved cargo<br />

services throughout the network. During <strong>2011</strong> cargo demands<br />

remained stable due to a resurgence of mining and exploration<br />

projects in Nunavik. The addition of the Boeing and the Dash<br />

8-300 freighter allowed us to generally complete all cargo deliveries<br />

to the communities well ahead of schedule.<br />

We enacted a number of other improvements during the<br />

year. As promised, when the Long Range Transportation Project<br />

was approved, our cargo rates decreased substantially in early<br />

in <strong>2011</strong> and will be further decreased in January 2012 with the<br />

introduction of our new rate band structure. Ilaujuq travel for children<br />

will be applied to the child’s fare rather than the adult fare,<br />

which has been a long-standing request of Nunavimmiut. Excess<br />

baggage allowances were increased across the network to 30 kg<br />

de projets d’exploration et d’exploitation minières au Nunavik.<br />

L’ajout du Boeing et de l’aéronef cargo Dash 8-300 nous a permis<br />

d’effectuer nos livraisons de fret dans les communautés plus<br />

rapidement.<br />

Nous avons apporté d’autres améliorations en cours d’année.<br />

Comme promis dans le plan de transport à long terme, nos<br />

taux de fret ont diminué considérablement au début de <strong>2011</strong>,<br />
