Nunacell
Nunacell experienced
a slowdown
in the deployment
of the phase II
sites. The Inukjuak,
Puvirnituq and
Salluit sites, which
were to be launched
in early 2011, were
delayed because of
problems with one
of our major service
providers. In April, Tronos Communications acquired assets previously
owned by that provider including their interest in Lynx
Mobility, our principal partner.
Lynx Mobility has restructured its operations, which has led
so some service interruptions for the Kuujjuaq site and delays
in the launch of the Phase II sites. At year-end, we were able to
successfully launch the Salluit and Puvirnituq sites. We hope to
have resolved the landline connectivity issues in Inukjuak to
launch in early 2012.
Despite the unforeseen problems with our past partner, we
believe that we are back on track and sales of Nuncell will increase
substantially with the Kuujjuaq, Inukjuak, Puvirnituq
and Salluit networks launched. We are continuing to work hard
with our service providers to solve the remaining issues with the
connectivity of landlines and the media gateway change over
caused by the restructuring of Lynx Mobility.

Les activités liées à la phase II du programme de Nunacell se
sont effectuées au ralenti. Les services qui devaient être offerts à
