feltárása során bukkantunk. A tervezett
Szennyvíztisztító területén hitelesen feltárt
két ház és a többi, korban ide sorolható
objektum (a kemence hamusgödre
kivételével), meglehetősen laza szerkezetű,
egymástól viszonylag nagy távolságban
elhelyezkedő, tanya jellegű településre
utalnak, bár nem elképzelhetetlen, hogy a
vízmű építése során újabb hasonló objektumok
lássanak napvilágot.
Az objektumokból előkerült kerámia
anyag alapján a leletek a Kr. u. 8. századra
datálhatók.
A BTM a csepeli Szennyvíztisztító tervezett
területén 2004-ben folytatott próbafeltárásainak
befejeztével nyilvánvalóvá vált,
hogy több helyütt azonosíthatók az egyes
korszakokhoz köthető régészeti lelőhelyek
(temetők és települések). Ezek pontos kiterjedése
azonban a több méteres feltöltés
miatt jelenleg nem állapítható meg.
Az eddig feltárt objektumok alapján,
további régészeti emlékek előkerülésére
lehet számítani. Feltárásukra az eddig
előkerült leletek történeti és régészeti fontossága
alapján, a szennyvíztisztító telep
megépítését megelőzően feltétlenül sort
kell keríteni.
In: Régészeti kutatások az M0
extraction pits, were unearthed close to
previous ones about one hundred metres
from the present bank of the Danube. The
fi nds, a large number of daub fragments,
graphitic, red-and-white stripy painted
and plain household pottery shards, iron
tools (knives, pruning knives) and fragments
of bronze objects imply that this
was part of a settlement from the 1 st century
BC.
Judging from the observed geological
phenomena, the “village” or “hamlet”
stood very near to the contemporary
bank of the Danube. The most probably
post-construction building with daub
walls, the remains (daub fragments) of
which were found over a strongly but
unevenly burnt surface, was probably
destroyed as the result of frequent river
inundations.
The features from part of an Avar
settlement are certainly less spectacular
than those described above but are still
very important. The settlement fragment,
which consisted of two semi-subterranean
houses, the ash pit of a large oven (the
oven itself fell over into the repeatedly
enlarged ditch), a few ditches, which probably
also date from this period, and a
water-trap contained a few, chronologically
characteristic fi nds. (Fig. 5)
The grave fi nds from both the early and
the late phase can be found on Csepel
Island (Csepel-kavicsbánya, Betonelem
gyár, Vízmű, Dunasor, Szabadkikötő,
etc.). Margit Nagy has collected the Avar
fi nds in the region. For the list of the
rescue excavations see in NAGY 1988
and on the excavations at Csepel-Vízmű
Scattered traces of a settlement, however,
occurred only once during the excavation
