telen téglákból nagy műgonddal falazott
sír, amelynek tájolása észak–déli, vagy
dél–északi volt. (A téglák korának meghatározásáért
Havas Zoltánt illeti köszönet).
A sírkerten kívül egy vagy két alkalommal
találkozunk még nyugat–keleti,
kelet–nyugati, dél–északi, délkelet–északnyugati
és délnyugat–északkeleti tájolással
is. Különösen érdekes az a szuperpozíciós
szituáció, ahol 3 bolygatatlan sír nyugodott
egymáson. A legalsó délkelet–északnyugati,
a középső szinte teljesen nyugat–keleti,
míg a legfelső az uralkodónak mondható
északkelet–délnyugati tájolást mutatott.
A csontvázak megtartása az épített
sírokban, a kevés in situ vázcsont alapján,
jónak mondható, a fakoporsós temetkezések
és a földsírok esetében lényegesen
gyengébb, különösen a temető általunk
még megfogható szélén, amely a későbbiekben
elöntéses területté vált. Az
értékelhető testhelyzetű csontvázakat,
egy magzati pózban fekvő csecsemőt
leszámítva, nyújtott pozícióban, hanyatt
fektetve helyezték sírba. A lábak egymás
mellett, a karok a mellkason vagy a
medencecsonton keresztbefektetve nyugodtak.
A csontvázak fogsora feltűnően
egészséges, az esetek túlnyomó többségé-

side the southern graveyard: one to the
southeast–southwest and one to the
northwest–southeast. The graves with
the two different orientations were not
spatially separated. Looters had scattered
the contents of the graves around the
graveyard. In two cases, bones from the
undisturbed legs and feet attested to a
southwest–northeast orientation. (Fig. 5)
The orientation of the graves perpendicular
to these above-mentioned graves seems
to have been southeast–northwest based
on the bones of the upper part of the body
pushed into the corner of a stone casket
grave. The grave, which was carefully built
from high quality, unstamped bricks of
the Severus period was otherwise alien to
the burial system. It had a north–south or
a south–north orientation. (I am grateful

There were also a few examples of
west–east, east–west, south–north, southeast–northwest
and southwest–northeast
orientations outside the graveyard. The
superpositional situation where 3 undisturbed
graves lay over each other is
especially interesting. The lowermost was
oriented southeast–northwest; the middle
