korábbi hamvasztásos sírt vágott el. A
szonda középső és nyugati negyedében a
bolygatatlan geológia rétegek fölött mintegy
0,3–0,4 méterrel be kellett fejeznünk a
kutatást.
Az Aranyhegyi-patak menti temetőben
végzett munkák során az előzetes céloknak
megfelelően geodéziailag pontosan lokalizáltuk
a temető 1920-as években feltárt
sírkertjeit, és megállapítottuk, hogy a fennmaradt
1:200 léptékű térképen szereplő
építményeket egymáshoz képest pontosan
tüntették fel. A feltárások során fény derült
arra, hogy Nagy Lajos kutatóárkokkal
és nagyobb felületekkel egyaránt kutatta a
temetőt, a mélyebben fekvő sírokat gyakran
érintetlenül hagyva. A feltárt sírkertek
között nagy területek maradtak feltáratlanul.
Ahogy Nagy Lajos és Kaba Melinda is
sejtette, a temető sírkertjei tovább folytatódnak
a feltárt területen túl, nyugat felé.
A feltárások legkorábbi lelete egy apró
kelta bronzérem, amely az 5. szonda egyik
késői rétegéből került elő, de más jellegzetes
kelta leletanyag nem került elő. Az
1. 2. 3. és az 5. szondában több, a temetkezéseknél
korábbi, földbe mélyített objektumot
találtunk, amelyhez valamilyen
cölöpszerkezetes (1. századi?) építményekhez
tartozhatnak. Ezeknek az objektumoknak
a megszűnése és feltöltése után
ásták a területen az első sírokat, amelyek
legnagyobb részt kelet–nyugati tájolásúak.
A legkorábbi feltárt sírok a korábbi publikációk
szerint késő Flavius-koriak, de
az általunk feltárt hamvasztásos temetkezések
előzetesen inkább a 2. századra
datálhatóak, több sírból Hadrianus bronza
került elő. A temetőben a sírkerteket a 2.
században átépítették, és elsősorban a
temető keleti felében a 3. század elejére
keltezhető temetkezések is voltak.

phase preceding the construction of the
observed graveyards. The soil layers of the
cutting sloped southwards. The stone
ruin with dim outlines observed on the
southern side suggests that an east–west
oriented wall had stood there. In the western
part of the trench, the 3.5 wide fragment
of another quadrangular graveyard
was unearthed, which was 5 m long in an
east–west direction. The condition of the
walls of the construction gradually deteriorated
towards the south, probably due
to erosion. A large quadrangular platform
joined the southern wall in the middle
and extended toward the centre of the
construction. It may be the pedestal from
a tomb.
An east–west oriented oval cremation
grave, contemporary with the construction,
and an approximately round grave
from an earlier phase were unearthed in
the graveyard. The southern wall of the
construction intersected another ashy
phenomenon, probably an earlier cremation
grave. In the central and western
quarters of the trench, the investigations
had to be terminated about 0.3–0.4 m
above the undisturbed geological layers.
The geodetic position of the graveyards
of the cemetery unearthed in the 1920s
during the course of the work carried out
on the cemetery on Aranyhegyi Stream as
was intended and we concluded that the
places of the constructions were correctly
marked in relation to each other on preserved
maps at a scale of 1:200. We found
that Lajos Nagy investigated the cemetery
with trenches and on larger surfaces and
often left the deeper graves intact. Large
areas were left unexplored between the
uncovered graveyards. As Lajos Nagy and
Melinda Kaba suggested, the graveyards
