további, lényegesen ritkább elrendezésű
sírokat találtunk. Egy helyen azonban
több, egymást vágó sírból álló csoportra
bukkantunk. Összesen 32 sírt tártunk föl
(legalább 34 regisztrált betemetkezéssel),
ezek rítus szerinti megoszlása a következő:
2 szórt hamvasztásos, 1 több személynek
szánt, helyben hamvasztásos (ebben megtaláltuk
a halotti máglya egyik elszenesedett
gerendáját a homokba égett teljes
lenyomattal egyetemben; 4. kép), 1 vegyes
rítusú kettős betemetkezéssel (szórt hamvasztásos
és csontvázas egyben), a többi
csontvázas sír.
Tájolás tekintetében – a déli sírkerten
kívül – két fő csoport különböztethető
meg: északkelet–délnyugati és északnyugat–délkeleti.
A kétféleképpen tájolt sírok
területileg nem különültek el. A sírkert
sírjainak tartalmát a fosztogatók teljesen
szétdobálták, két esetben azonban a bolygatatlanul
hagyott lábszár- és láb fejcsontok
délnyugat–északkeleti tá jo lás ról tanúskodtak.

az egyik kőládasír sarkába tolt felső
vázcsontok alapján délkelet–északnyugatinak
becsülhető. A rendszertől idegen az

with the edge of the lot from subsequent
periods, and that of the buildings these
walls belonged to cannot be determined
at this stage in the investigations. Future
excavation in the zone separated from the
lot and owned by the district government
will certainly bring us closer to a correct
interpretation.
North of the northwest–southeast oriented
stone wall, more graves were found
along the entire length of the trench but
in a signifi cantly looser distribution. At
one place, however, we found a group of
intersecting graves. Altogether 32 graves
were unearthed (with at least 34 burials
registered in them). Their distribution
by rite as follows: 2 followed the scattered
ash rite, 1 was a local cremation intended
for more than one person (we found a
charred wooden beam from the funeral
pyre with its intact imprint burnt into
the sand; Fig. 4), 1 burial with mixed rites
with a double burial (a scattered ashes and
inhumation burial together), while the remainder
were inhumation burials.
Regarding grave orientation, two
main groups can be differentiated out-
