ismereteket.
A 2. szelvény nyugati részén, a feltárt
terület legmélyebb (patakhoz közelebb
eső) részén nagyméretű sötét foltot fi -
gyeltünk meg. A foltot több részre osztva
bontottuk, sok metszetfalat hagyva. A
bontás során fokozatosan rajzolódtak ki
a gödörkomplexum egybeásott gödrei, az
objektum a középső részén lekerekített
négyzet alakban lemélyült. (9. kép) A
mélyebb rész mellett, feljebb cölöplyukak
foltjait fi gyeltük meg. Feltételezhető,
hogy a fölbemélyülő objektumot valamilyen
tető fedte. Az objektum funkciója
kérdéses, nem valószínű, hogy lakó épületként,
sokkal inkább valamilyen gazdasági
funkciójú építményként szolgálhatott.
A gödörkomplexum bontása során
nagy mennyiségű kerámiát, állatcsontot
és paticsot találtunk (ez utóbbi szintén
valamilyen építményre utal).
Az előkerült, erősen kihajló peremű
tálak, az edények oldalán elhelyezett függőleges
bordák, a kónikus orsógombok
alapján az objektumot a középső rézkor
időszakát záró, úgynevezett protobolerázi
horizontba sorolhatjuk. (HORVÁTH

A single urn grave of the Imperial Period
dug into the subhumus was found at
site BP 08 in the centre of a larger territory
from which the humus had been removed.
It probably belonged to a cemetery from
the early Imperial Period unearthed at the
Rákos Stream in line with our site. Beside
this grave, only a few smaller pits were
uncovered from which only one was dated
by a medieval handle fragment to the 14 th
century.
It was notpossible to excavate a big territory
at site BP 09. Thus, only two east–
west oriented trenches were opened in the
northern part of the site. These covered
a surface of 300 m 2 . Neither contained
archaeological features. As the expropriated
area occupied only a smaller part of
the site, this territory will require further
archaeological investigation.
Site BP 05 can be found on the southern
slopes of Major Hill north of Rákos
Stream, near one of the branches of the
stream, on the administrative border of
the XVII th district of Budapest. Because
of the protracted expropriation process,
the excavations in the track of highway
M0 were conducted between October 19
