A temetőrészlet periodizációjának
felállításától jelen helyen eltekintünk. A
korábban feltárt részek alapján Zsidi Paula
a temetőt két periódusúnak, 2. és 4.
századinak határozta meg. (ZSIDI 1997,
142–143) A 2004. évi leletanyag jelenleg
mosás, illetve restaurálás alatt áll, tudományos
feldolgozását követően a kronológia
kérdésében is állást foglalunk majd.
Végezetül elmondható, hogy a lelőhelyen
az egykor a canabaet a polgárvárossal
összekötő út keleti oldalán elnyúló temető
legszélső, megmaradt sávját tártuk föl. Az
ásatási terület és a Szentendrei út közötti,
egyelőre előlünk elzárt rész komolyabb
sírépítményeket rejthet magában, és
remélhetőleg választ ad a fentebb ismertetett
apszisos épület rendeltetésére is. A
lelőhely valódi jelentősége a ma még fehér
foltként húzódó sáv megismerését követően
válik majd igazán lemérhetővé.
A római temető sírjai között korábbi
kultúrák nyomaira bukkantunk. A terület
emberi használatba vételének legkorábbi

Finally, the outermost preserved zone
of the cemetery along the eastern side
of the road that connected the canabae
and the Civil Town will be described here.
The area between the excavation territory
and the Szentendrei Road, which is as not
available for study, likely contains more
signifi cant funeral sepulchres and perhaps
will provide a solution concerning the
function of the building with the apse.
The real signifi cance of the site will be
revealed only after this zone is uncovered,
which is as yet a white spot on the topographic
map of Aquincum.
Traces of earlier occupation was found
among the graves from the Roman cemetery.
The earliest evidence of human occupation
in the territory is an assemblage
of intact vessels, which represents 6 different
ceramic types from the Early Bronze
