tekintetbe véve az elenyésző mennyiséget,
lészafal (sövényfal) legalábbis részleges
alkalmazását sem tartjuk kizártnak. Lakóházfunkciója

A vaskori megtelepedés bizonyítékát
egy kelta gödörház szolgáltatja. Az objektumot
csak részben sikerült feltárnunk,
északi részét újkori pince pusztította el,
nyugat felől pedig a saját metszetfalunk
jelentett határt. A metszetfal síkján túl
csak idő hiányában nem követtük az
objektumot. A feltárt sarok alapján két
háztípus is szóba jöhet: egyik a legáltalánosabbnak
mondható, lekerekített sarkú,
téglalap alaprajzú, két rövidebb oldala
közepén egy-egy cölöplyukkal ellátott, a
másik a lényegesen ritkább, de éppen Aquincum
tágabb környezetében előforduló, a
császárkorban jellemző, négyzetes alaprajzi
típus. A feltárt délkeleti sarok alapján
rekonstruálható, viszonylag nagy méret inkább
az utóbbira, a betöltésből származó
korai leletanyag (La Tène B/C1) viszont az
előbbire utal. Az építmény fala függőleges,
padlója enyhén a ház közepe felé lejt. Külön
padlókiképzés nincs, a feltárt részen
tüzelőhely nyomát sem találtuk meg. Az
egyetlen cölöplyuk széles átmérővel indul,
majd lényegesen keskenyebbel folytatódik.
Az átmérő váltásának helyszínén rögzítés
céljára szolgáló köveket, és más egyebet
sem találtunk, a jelenség a keleti cölöp
megújítására utal. A ház lakófunkciója valószínűsíthető.
Feltárása újabb adalékkal
szolgál a Duna-part mentén hosszan elnyúló
kelta település, vagy inkább településlánc
topográfi ájához. (A kelta anyagot

its vicinity that may have come from the
vertical walls. Considering, however, the
small quantities, the construction must
have been, at least partially, of wattle. Its
function as a dwelling is dubious. (Fig. 9)
A Celtic pit-house provided evidence
about settlement in the Iron Age. The
feature could not entirely be unearthed.
The northern part had been destroyed
by an early modern cellar, while our own
section wall marked the western edge of
the house. Due to a lack of time it did not
prove possible to follow the feature beyond
the section wall. Two house types could
be reconstructed in the excavated corner
of the trench. One is a more general type
with an oblong ground plan with rounded
corners and a posthole in the middle of
each of the two shorter sides. The other
one is a signifi cantly less common type
of dwelling, although one that does occur
in the wider region around Aquincum. It
has a square ground plan characteristic of
the Imperial period. The relatively large
measurements reconstructed from the
recovered southeastern corner suggest the
building was of this latter type, while the
early fi nd material recovered from the fi ll
(La Tène B/C1) would be more consistent
with the former type of building. The
walls of the construction were vertical, the
fl oor slightly slanted toward the centre of
the house. The fl oor was not constructed
and there were no apparent remains from
a fi re place in the uncovered area. The
only posthole starts with a wide diameter
and narrows sharply in a downwards direction.
No stones fi xing the post in place
were found or anything else at the point
where the diameter changed. This eastern
post must have been repaired. The building
was probably a dwelling. The recovery
