voicings of 9th, 11th, and 13th chords applied to arranging lead sheets<br />

vocal exercises and simple songs. Emphasis is placed on developing an<br />

understanding of the singing voice, the body as a musical instrument, and<br />

the vocal potential of each student.<br />

Classical Voice I<br />

Prerequisite: Music 400 with a satisfactory grade or equivalent.<br />

A continued concentration of general, basic fundamentals of singing using<br />

vocal exercises and simple arias and art songs in Italian. Italian pronunciation<br />
