Career Program<br />

The Marketing degree program provides the student with a wide range of<br />

knowledge in marketing, selling, advertising and retailing, as well as decision-making<br />

skills in product planning, pricing, and selection of channels of<br />

distribution. The capstone course, Marketing 21, provides student with a vehicle<br />

for making contacts in the field of marketing with a view toward employment.<br />

The Marketing curriculum shown below serves as a guide to students majoring<br />

in the subject area. Students have flexibility in scheduling these classes<br />

but are advised to begin their studies with Principles of Marketing (Marketing<br />

21) during their third or fourth semester.<br />

Career Program<br />

The Real Estate curriculum has been designed by the Business Administration<br />

department for students who plan to enter the real estate field in such<br />

areas as sales, brokerage, management, and escrows. Individuals who complete<br />

all class requirements listed below in a chosen Real Estate program<br />

with a satisfactory grade or better in each course may apply for a Real Estate<br />

Certificate. Applications are distributed in the Real Estate classes at approximately<br />

the middle of each semester. Applications should be filed with<br />

the Graduation Clerks in the Admissions Office during the semester in which<br />

the program is expected to be completed. Education and experience requirements<br />

for the broker license are set by the California Department of Real<br />
